It is a part of Physical Science. There are two types of behavior.

1. Motion.
2. Rest.

We know that state of matters are three types.

1. Solid. 
2. Liquid. 
3. Gas.

How can we know which are Fluids?
In case of Liquid and Gas, they can't resist Shear Stress.
In case of Liquid- (i)Cohesion, (ii) Free Surface, (iii) Compressible.
In case of Gas- Compressible.

Syllabus of F.M.

• Introduction
• Kinematics, Statics & Dynamics.
• Dimension Analysis.
• Boundary layer theory.
• Pipe Flow.
• Pumps & Timber.
• Hydro-power Plant.

In above three cases there are fall into F.M.

And other all cases fall into Hydraulics.
